Born in Alaior (Menorca), he attended the Menorca Conservatory and later he studied at the Escuela de Música Reina Sofía with Alfredo Kraus. Now he studies with the baritone Joan Pons.

His repertory includes the main roles of La Clemenza di Tito, Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro, I Puritani, Norma, L’Elisir d’amore, Anna Bolena, Maria Stuarda, Lucia di Lammermoor, Lucrezia Borgia, La Favorita, Linda di Chamounix, Il barbiere di Siviglia, La Cenerentola, Semiramide, Il Viaggio a Reims, L’Italiana in Algeri, La Donna del Lago, Guglielmo Tell, La Bohème, Carmen, Don Carlo, etc.

Mr. Orfila appears regularly at the Teatro del Liceo of Barcelona and Teatro Real of Madrid, and has been invited to sing in Sevilla, Oviedo, Las Palmas, Mahón, Palma de Mallorca, Bilbao, La Coruña and Santander, and also in important theaters as the Deutsche Oper and Staatsoper in Berlin, Opéra de la Bastille Paris, Scala di Milano, London Covent Garden, Théâtre de la Monnaie in Brussels, Pesaro Festival and the opera houses of Tokyo, Lima, Bogotá, Lisbon, Munich, Hamburg, Rome, Napoli, Florence, Genova, Torino, Bologna, Buenos Aires, Geneva, Toulon and Montpellier, among others.

Recent and future engagements include Carmen at Caracalla, Il Turco in Italia in Oviedo, L’Italiana in Algeri at the Liceo, Semiramide in Bilbao, Norma in Las Palmas, L’elisir d’amore in Palma de Mallorca and Turin, Turandot in Palermo, Ernani in Minorca, Rigoletto in Macerata, as well as several recitals and concerts.
