Lyric-light tenor born in Barcelona, he excels in the Mozart and bel canto in the mozartian repertoire and in the Italian romantic Italian romantic bel canto.

His repertoire includes operas such as Die Zauberflöte, Don Giovanni, Die Entführung aus dem Serrail, L’occasione fa il ladro, Elisir d’amore, Falstaff, among others.

He studied singing at the Conservatorio del Liceo with tenor Eduard Giménez and the Conservatorio Jaoquín Rodrigo of Valencia with Ana Luisa Chova. He has attended masterclasses with Montserrat Caballé, Raúl Giménez Caballé, Leyla Gencer, Luciana Serra, Dolora Zajick or Jaume Aragall. He studied Art History at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

He has sung at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Palau de la Música de la Música Catalana, Auditorio de Barcelona, Teatro Campoamor in Oviedo, Opera de Las Palmas, Teatro Mario del Monaco in Palmas, Teatro Mario del Monaco of Treviso, Teatro Comunale di Ferrara, Rossini Festival of Wildbad and in several seasons of the Amics de l’Òpera de Sabadell.

He has worked under the baton of maestros such as Gustavo Dudamel, Riccardo Frizza, Pinchas Steinberg, Corrado Rovaris, Giuseppe Sabbatini, Gustav Kuhn etc.

Marc Sala has participated in several contemporary contemporary operas such as Alba eterna by Albert Guinovart, Osvaldo Golijov‘s Ainadamar or Jonathan Dove‘s The monster in the maze. (Grec Festival 2018)

He received the Ferrer Salat award at the Concours Viñas Competition and was a finalist of the International Competition Montserrat Caballé Competition. His discography includes the operas Le siège de Corinthe by G. Rossini (Naxos) and the opera Gaziel by E. Granados (Tritón).
