Born in Barcelona, he undertook his university veterinarian studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and studied at the Conservatori Superior de Música of the Liceu in Barcelona,with Eduard Giménez and María Soler.

In 2004 he had his first stage experience taking part in a production of La Pequeña Flauta Mágica with p Els Comediants at the Gran Teatre del Liceu.
The following year he made his operatic as “Il Conte di Almaviva” in Le Nozze di Figaro at the Teatre de la Faràndula in Sabadell , within the cycle “Ópera a Catalunya”.In the following seasons he sung there several operas as Pagliacci, La Bohème, La Traviata, Così fan tutte, Il barbiere di Siviglia or L’elisir d’amore.

His career went on with his debut at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Barcelona in the season 2006-2007 with Manon with Victor Pablo Pérez conducting.  Since then he has appeared in many main opera houses in Spain, such as the Teatro Campoamor, Oviedo (2008), the Ópera in Bilbao (ABAO) in 2011 in Rossini’s L’italiana in Algeri staged by Emilio Sagi, the Teatro Villamarta in Jerez, the Teatre Principal in Maó (Minorca), the Teatre Principal in Mallorca (2012), etc.
In 2006 he made his international debut siniging at the Teatro Nacional de Panamá, followed by appearances in several theatres in Colombia, Ecuador, Brasil, South Corea and Italy.

Carlos Daza has been awarded in several Singing Competitions as Concurso Manuel Ausensi, Concurs MiraIbent i Magrans, Concurs Internacional Jaume Aragall or Concurso  Rivelas in Panamá. He has also been finalist at the Concorso Toti dal Monte in Treviso, Italy.

In 2014 he went back to the Teatro Campoamor  in Oviedo to sing the title-role in  Alfred Kirchner 's production of Don Giovanni. The same year he made his debut in Sâo Paulo, Brazil, in the role of Fígaro in Rossini’s Il barbiere di Siviglia.
In 2015 he makes succesful debuts in Auditorio Baluarte in Pamplona in the main role of Don Giovanni and in Auditorio Alfredo Kraus in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria with Carmina Burana conducted by Pedro Halffter.  next year he cme back to Las Palmas to sing Der Kaiser von Atlantis, also with Pedro Halffter.

On January 2017 he went back to Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona to sing Willy’s Decker Werther conducted by Alain Altinoglu.

He has worked under the baton of well-known musical conductors as Víctor Pablo Pérez, Yves Abel, Michele Mariotti, Álvaro Albiach, Marco Armiliato, Daniel Oren, Riccardo Frizza or Guillermo García-Calvo and stage directors as David McVicar, Emilio Sagi, Laurent Pelly, Paco Azorín, Pier-Luigi Pizzi, Hugo de Ana y Joan Anton Rechi.

Recent and future engagements include Carmina  Burana in a Spanish tournée with La Fura del Baus, La fille du régiment in Seville, Madama Butterfly in Oman with the Peralada Festival, Hamlet and La Gioconda at the Liceo, La Traviata at the Festival of Peralada and La Fanciulla del West in Bilbao.
