Born in Bilbao, he started singing after getting his Bachelor of Medicine. He attended masterclasses with several teahers, including two Opera Studio at the Accademia Santa Cecilia in Rome with Renata Scotto.

He made his professional debut as Ferrando in Così Fan Tutte with the OSV conducted by Daniel Gil de Tejada, and since then he has performed belcantist roles such as Tonio (La Fille du Régiment), Fernando (La Favorita), Nemorino (L'elisir d'amore) or Beppe (Rita), as well as other productions such as Rigoletto, Cendrillon, Die Zauberflöte, Le Devin du village, Il Barbiere di Siviglia or Otello (Rossini) in different theaters.

He has sung at the Gran Teatre del Liceu, Palau de la Música Catalana, Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville, Madrid Auditorio nacional, Saõ Pedro Theater (Saõ Paulo), Teatro Arriaga or Teatre de la Faràndula of Sabadell conducted by Sir Andrew Davis, Pedro Halffter, Leopold Hagger, Christopher Franklin, Óliver Díaz, Rubén Gimeno, Josep Vila i Casanyes or Daniel Gil de Tejada among others.

In addition to the mainly belcantist repertoire, he sings also contemporary music, as the premiere in Spain of John Adams Dr. Atomic (Robert Wilson) at Teatro de la Maestranza and also the oratorio repertory: Schmidt’s Das Buch mit sieben Siegeln with Orchestra and Choir of RTVE conducted by Leopold Hagger, Mozart's Requiem with the UNESCO Barcelona Orchestra, Petite Messe Solennelle (Palau de la Música), Messiah (Festival of Ziortza and UNESCO Barcelona) and several concerts of Carmina Burana.
