Anaïs Masllorens

Born in Barcelona, she obtained the Drama and Musical degree at the Institut del Teatre of Barcelona. Masllorens has studied with A. L. Chova in Spain and has taken Master Classes by M. Caballé, A. Zedda and  J. Aragall.

She made her début at Petit Liceu, Teatre del Liceu, singing Tisbe Rossini’s La Cenerentola, and simultaneously is selected to take part in Talleres pedagógicos of Teatro Real, where she debuts with the characters Maman, Tasse Chinoise and Libellule (Ravel’s L’Enfant et les Sortilèges). She is invited to sing Don Ettore’s role (Haydn’s La Canterina) and to play the theatrical character Madame Krone (Mozart’s Der Schauspieldirektor) in Teatro Arriaga in Bilbao. Masllorens has sung in other opera houses as Gran Teatre del Liceu Teatro Real of Madrid, Auditorio Kursaal in Donostia, Teatre Principal in València, Teatros del Canal and Auditorio Nacional in Madrid, Palau de la Música in València, among other venues. Her operatic credits include the characters: Seconda dama della frontiera (Casablancas, L’enigma di Lea), Mdme la Marquise (Strauss, La fille du régiment). Dritte nackte Jungfrau (Schönberg’s Moses und Aron), Mamma Lucia (Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana), Maddalena (Verdi’s Rigoletto), Dorabella (Mozart’s Cosí fan tutte), Marianna (Rossini’s Il Signor Bruschino), Hänsel/Knusperhexe (Humperdinck’s Hänsel und Gretel), Bradamante (Händel’s Alcina), Old Lady (Bernstein, Candide) and María (Chapí’s zarzuela El Rey que rabió).

Anaïs Masllorens has performed Oratorio, singing the Alto solos Messiah by Händel, Requiem by Mozart, Te Deum by Bruckner, and St. Matthäus passion by Bach. Regarding Lied repertoire she has also performed in concert the song series Les Nuits d’Été by Berlioz, Dichterliebe and Frauenliebe und Leben by Schumann, Songs of travel by Vaughan-Williams, Rückertlieder and Kindetotenlieder by Mahler, Las 7 Canciones Populares Españolas by Falla, 5 Canciones negras by Montsalvatge.

She has sung under Maestros such as J. Pons, L. Koenig, J. Corcuera, D. García, E. García-Asensio, P. Mielgo. Also with stage directors as R. Castelluci, C. Portaceli, J. Ulacia, Joan Font, M. Carniti, or J. Lermier.
